1. Q. What are the system requirements for the Plan B Bridge Inspection System?
A. A Windows PC (Windows XP or 7, 32 or 64 bit) and a printer. Everything runs on your computer.

3. Q. Can I share data across my local network?
A. No. Networking was not a priority during development, given the limited time available. It is also not currently in the upgrade queue.

4. Q. What is the priority for putting data in the sysem?
A. Priority should be given to entering NBI and Posting data first. Enter Comments and Maintenance needs (and the others as they become available) as time allows.

5. Q. What is the deadline for data submission?
A. The absolute deadline for data submission is March 15, 2014. This does not mean you can or should wait until March 15 to submit your data. Please get your data back to State Aid as soon as possible.

6. Q. After I submit my data to State Aid, can I go back and enter Comments, Maintnenace, profiles, etc?
A. Yes. When you are done, you can re-export and resubmit your data. You should not change and NBI or Posting data after the first submittal, unless we ask you to or you spot and error that needs to be corrected. Also please be sure to remind us in the submittal e-mail about any changes.

7. Q. How do I Add, Replace or Delete a bridge?
A. To ADD a new bridge, Select a county then go to SELECT->NEW and follow the prompts. To DELETE or REPLACE, a bridge, Select a bridge then goto SELECT->DELETE or SELECT->REPLACE, respectively, and follow the prompts. There is no Undo for these operations, so please be careful.

8. Q. How do I enter data on the Profile Form?
A. Select a County and Bridge (that is not a box).
Select "Profile".
Click "Edit".
Enter the Bridge Length, the High Water Level and Current Water Level (both down from the bridge).
Enter the number of profile points.
Click the "Update Span / Profile Tables" button.
Enter each span length. For example, if the bridge has 3 19' spans, enter 19.0 for each span.
Enter each profile point Horizontal (X) starting at the South/West end.
Enter each profile point Vertical (Y), using the lower end of the bridge as a datum. Do not use negative numbers.
If you like what you have, click "Save". You can chuck everything you entered on the form by clicking on "Undo".
Note: All dimensions on the Profile form are in feet.
